Rette Jones Racing To Compete in Southern Super Series Race At Five Flags Speedway
MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Taking advantage of an off weekend for the ASA STARS National Tour, Rette Jones Racing isn’t sitting idle.
The Mooresville, N.C.-based team, in a collaborative effort with Port City Race Cars, will field the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Southern Super Series action at Five Flags (Fla.) Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024.
Rette Jones Racing co-owner Mark Rette will be paired with Late Model veteran Buddy Shepherd and will look to deliver another checkered flag from The Sunshine State to the team.
Shepherd is one of the 23 entries for the Night of Champions 100-lap event.
“I’m looking forward to being paired with Buddy and being a part of this collaborative effort with Port City Race Cars,” said Rette. “It is important for us as an organization to continue to spread our wings and be invested in as many different series as possible.
“In the long run, it will make our company better for the future. It’s going to be a competitive night of racing, but I am confident we have a competitive night and contend for the race win.”
Rette Jones Racing will return to the ASA STARS National Tour with winning driver Kyle Steckly in the upcoming Winchester 400 at the historic Winchester (Ind.) Speedway on Sat., Oct. 13, 2024.
