Rette Jones Racing to Field Second ASA-STARS Entry for Kole Raz in Red Bud 400

ANDERSON, Ind: Rette Jones Racing confirmed today that Late Model and ARCA Menards Series standout Kole Raz will pilot a second entry in Saturday night’s Red Bud 400 at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway, marking the team’s first multi-car effort in ASA STARS National Tour competition.

Raz, 22, will drive with support from Port City Racecars, a Jones Company, as he joins full-time Rette Jones Racing driver Kyle Steckly, who will continue to wheel the No. 30 Auto Parts Centres Ford Mustang.

A first-generation racer from Lake Oswego, Oregon, Raz brings a decorated résumé to the Red Bud 400.

He is a 22-time Super Late Model winner, with highlights in 2024 that include victories in the Chilly Willy 150, the Spears SRL Southwest Tour’s Salted Metals 150, and the Star Nursery Classic at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Raz also broke through in ARCA Menards Series West competition last year, scoring his first victory in dramatic fashion at Kevin Harvick’s Kern County Raceway Park.

In addition to his many Late Model wins, Raz is a two-time NASCAR Arizona state champion.

“I’m really excited to join Rette Jones Racing for the Red Bud 400,” said Raz. “This is one of the biggest Super Late Model races in the country, and to be a part of it with such a respected organization means a lot.

“I’m thankful to Mark Rette, Terry Jones, and everyone at Port City Racecars for believing in me. We’re going there to compete and make the most of this opportunity.”

Saturday night’s race presents a milestone moment for the Mooresville, N.C.-based team, which returns to Anderson Speedway as the defending race winner. With two competitive entries on the grid, Rette Jones Racing strengthens its pursuit of another Red Bud 400 triumph.

“Having Kyle Steckly as a teammate is a big advantage,” Raz added. “He’s incredibly talented, and I think we’ll be able to learn from each other and push each other to be better. With two strong cars under the RJR banner, we’re doubling our chances to put the team in Victory Lane on Saturday night.”

Rette Jones Racing will field additional Super Late Model entries for Raz throughout the remainder of the 2025 season, with a more in-depth schedule to be announced.

Rette Jones Racing co-owner Mark Rette is confident in what Raz brings to the team’s expanded effort at Anderson.

“Kole is a really impressive young driver with a lot of raw talent and maturity behind the wheel,” said Rette.

“We’ve watched what he’s accomplished out West and in ARCA, and we’re excited to see what he can do with our equipment. This weekend is a big one for our program and having both Kole and Kyle gives us two very strong chances to compete at the front.”

This weekend marks a pivotal moment for Rette Jones Racing. In addition to fielding two entries in the ASA STARS National Tour, the team will debut its new technical alliance with Highlands Motorsports and the No. 96 Appalachian Sucker Punch Ford driven by Derek Thorn.

As part of the partnership, Thorn will compete in a newly built Port City Racecars chassis, manufactured by the chassis company owned by the Rette Jones Racing ownership group.
